I know that Eric's post has a tad of humour attached to it but whilst I think it is a good idea at the moment, the fact that we need to recognize the shortcomings of Linux is also important for the newbies here. We are not supporting Linux as an end-all OS without issues (each OS has its quirks) so before they get disillusioned that Linux is the best OS out there and that it does not have problems like Windows (or other OS), it is best that they also know the other side. This will only encourage them to find the simplest solution to these issues and eventually (and hopefully) share it with the rest of our community. IMHO, I'd rather have the newbies know everything about Linux before the jump into it and later realizing that the problems do exist and that they're real. Let's not dismiss points raised by Linux users about the shortcomings of our favorite platform as FUD. I have "virtually" known Orly for a long time already and I know that he supports Linux since the early days - just like Doc Mana, Eric, Sammy and Kelsey.
