Don't get caught with your pants down with that statement you made.  If
ever people will notice what you do, you have to make it professional.
Otherwise it will be treated as a toy, and forever that will be your one
shining accomplishment - a toy.

There's a lot of sides to self determination.  You can choose to leverage
your work on someone else's striping out what you don't need and putting
in what you do.  Indeed that's what i do with my own distro, and by no
means do i loose my self determination when i adopt other peoples work.
The nice thing about open source is that it's totally legal to do so.

Shades of national pride and being awed by the weapons of mass destruction
my country has developed by itself, to destroy the enemy!  Indeed i would
not be proud but be ashamed, that such a thing was developed instead of
solving the problems of hunger and poverty.  No, i will not feel proud of
such an achievment.  Sorry.

As for "belonging", i belong to the HUMAN RACE, not some shady and
emotional concept such as nationalism.
