I must second Eric Rosel's reminder, and shamelessly plug that we do
have a mailing list where all this talk about core CS, CS versus IT, et
al are ABSOLUTELY ON-TOPIC. I'm referring to the CompSci[1] mailing list
on lists.free.net.ph.

For those interested in "scouting around" to find out what the list is
all about before subscribing, the CompSci list is archived in our
searchable community mailing list archives[2].

We hope to see this thread continued there. Everyone's more than welcome
to participate.
