But Im sure you can't say that to all database dependent systems.
True, however MySQL and PgSQL have historically been so stable on reasonable loads that it actually is a non-issue :) The more important issue is the more complex administration and maintenance overhead associated with SQL servers in general, _as_compared_ to maintenance of a file system. Plus the fact that (as mentioned in the link i provided) newer more modern file systems (like reiserfs) actually incorporate techniques used in SQL engines (reiserfs uses b+trees internally) which gives you a little of both worlds. > Postfix will *always* recommend to use the standard MBOX and Maildir > store ;-). I think its more like the people hanging around in the postfix mailing lists will more or less choose cyrus or courier based on their experience in handling large-volume email servers. But it doesn't mean postfix doesn't work well with alternatvie solutions like dbmail :) -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
