Yikes! Sorry you had to go to so much trouble. I'm resonably certain that the fault was a stale srvrpowerctrl.prefs file. It may be a week or two before I fire up my Windows machine to test some new SrvrPowerCtrl features. But when I do, I'll hunt down the location of that prefs file and note it in the readme.txt under a "troubleshooting" section.
