Thanks for the new release. I'll install it soon. gharris999;403120 Wrote: > Anyway, to me, it looks like the "defer action" is a mostly redundant > feature at this point. *Does anyone care passionately that the "defer > action" feature stays?* I'm all about trying to simplify > SrvrPowerCtrl's code going forward. The way you present it, plus the fact I *never* used it, I think you could deprecate the feature. Energy-wise, defer action may allow to gain like 5-15 minutes of server idling (before its standard inactive timeout.) I vote for doing away with it.

On my system I started switching the player off before switching it to SN since I use IR-blaster. In any case, the Json query for power status/on/off is very simple, same as the CLI command. BTW, would it be possible, and of general interest, to hook sending some button commands at server shutdown/restart ? I'd use this to prime my amp volume for alarms: server waking up before an alarm, "press" volume down a very large amount of times to have it bump to 0, then "press" volume up a few times to control the amp volume for alarms. Currently my alarms work, but they play at the volume I was playing the night before, and that's usually lower than it should be in the morning :) -- epoch1970 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
