Shouldn't it be possible to just change TYPE > from ACTION to KEY and then specify which key in the TITLE column? Another thought... You may be thinking SqueezeIR is cleverer than it really is? The assignment of ir commands to keys will only work from within the SqueezeIR applet's window. They won't do anything 'special' when you're in now playing or music library. Getting that to work would be cool but I'd imagine it would require re-writing most of the SNC's software. Different menus within SqueezeIR can have differnt commands assigned to the keys but no ir codes will be sent when you're not in SqueezeIR. Is that the issue?
