I have a very long delay between my Touch and wavin. It's about a minute. I've looked in the wiki but although some wav2cmd commands are listed I have no idea how to get the SB server to execute wav2in commands (other than automatically via favourites).
My usage may be a little strange, but I'll try to explain. I have a desktop PC running SB server 7.5.3 in one room. On that PC I am playing music from an internet site. The PC has a Creative Audio Extreme sound card, and I have set the recording mode to WAV. The sound from the internet site plays through the PC speakers correctly. In my lounge I have a hi-fi with a Touch. The Touch is playing the "wavin:0" favourite, and it works, but it's way behind the sound on the PC - of the order of a minute. The Touch is connected to the PC via Ethernet cable. If I use Squeezeplay (or indeed foobar2000) on the desktop PC to play a local FLAC file, the PC and the Touch are very nearly exactly in sync. I am controlling my desktop PC from the lounge using a laptop, wifi, and 'Teamviewer' software. This allows me to operate the internet site providing the sound using my laptop. I'm also controlling the SB Server via the laptop and wifi. I spent a lot of time thinking I had mis-installed wavin, since I wasn't patient enough to wait for a minute or so to hear the sound! If I stop the internet site sound I still hear music via my Touch for about a minute! Any thoughts anyone? Where's the big buffer and delay coming from? -- PasTim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
