I was about to edit my previous post to tell you you were right ( I do
not know what I am doing, as you might have noticed ;) I just realized
as you said, that I need a configured ffserver, and that is not even
available on windows!! so it is even more heavy weight than what you
have proposed! I think what you suggest is the right thing to do. The
reason I did not try it is that I have VLC 2.0 and it opens a bunch of
windows even when you use it from the command line. You mention a VLC
older version IIRC? if you have a link where I can get that ( unless I
misunderstood) that would be great, then I will try that or I will try
to lookup an older version of VLC that does not have all the GUI stuff.
Which version you recommend if any... and hopefully that will close this
post!
