I don't use Windows normally and don't use AirPlay/Shairplay/Shairport. With a new query ( getting Airplay to play on LMS/Windows is not rtmp on BBCiPlayer) - it is always best to start a new topic as you'll other users who may have experience whereas with an old thread you won't get new info.
With your mplayer efforts I don't think you really understand what you are trying to do. You need to consider the source, its format and what has to be supplied to LMS with the proviso that the Airplay server has to be live all the time (i.e. cannot be started/stopped by LMS playing the stream). I think converting the Airplay PCM stream into a http/mp3 which can then be played by LMS could be the simplest solution. Windows version of FIFO are Named Pipes but I don't think they'll do what you are trying. I suggesting trying the following command in Shairplay4W redirection. vlc.exe This should produce a MP3 stream which you get LMS to play (i.e. use Tune-in URL or create a favorite) using this URL http://ipaddressofshairplayserver:8080/vlcstream.mp3 I suggest you install a process monitor such as MS's ProcessExplorer so you can check that VLC is started by shairplay4w.
