I applied the changes, VLC works perfect!! thanks! and like you said, its profile in task manager is very small! I watched Task Manager on windows, what I see is that when I stop the stream on the Iphone, the Vlc.exe tasks gets killed ( disappears from Task Manager). Then LMS displays an error "connect time out, bad file descriptor http://...." Basically saying the stream is gone. It is like you said this is a Shairport4W issue. Nothing can be done about that. This issue does not show in Wavein because under no redirection Shairport is playing to the sound card channel that is always open without protocols. At least we got it to play in a very stable way, and VLC starts correctly when I start the stream and SB manually restarts correctly everytime ( I was surprised how stable it was). I saw few messages in the Shairport forum with people asking for this enhancement starting in 2011... So it is not going to happen. Boy what a Marathon and thanks for sticking with me through this.... Now I know what I do not know ;) Many thanks!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mitrih's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7800 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90070 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
