Well because it isn't working with iOS9 and the plugin doesn't support sync then there is really no need for it. I ditched LMS and went pure shairport-sync for all my zones. There is also a Node app called node_airtunes which can take stdin and output it to multiple AirPlay devices in sync. I also cloned the latest shairport-sync dev branch which has the ability to pipe output. The goal in the end will be to create a shairport-sync instance called Multiroom which will pipe it's output to node_airtunes and create a webui for selecting which AirPlay devices to output to with individual vol controls and all that. Right now I am having a hard time getting node_airtunes to play anything though. I was about to give up for the day when I came across another app for windows called TuneBlade. It can capture audio to a specific sound card and then output it to individual AirPlay devices. So I installed VAC and installed Sahirport4w to create a target named Multiroom which outputs to VAC. TuneBlade then captures VAC and sends it out to other AirPlay targets. There is also a very simplistic iOS app for controlling TuneBlade's output. It has a lot of latency (about 2secs) which kind of sucks. In the end I would rather go the shairport-sync/node_airtunes route. But for now this will work.
