I'm tinkering with this... I'll report back and I'd be... well, I'm embarassed to say that I might be so bold as to ask for your help in understanding all this custom.conf intricacies. I fear that there's an amount of hardcoded stuff that it will be tough to overcome.
Unfortunately bitrate is not an option, as I have 24/96 stereo files (they get downsampled to 24/48 for Squeezebox 2 and Boom(s). What I can promise is that I'll post a detailed report for everybody to have a look at, for future use. As soon as I have a fully functional setup. I currently have: 2 Squeezebox Boom connected through WiFi - these need bitrate limiting working 1 Squeezebox Classic connected through Wifi - this needs bitrate limiting working 1 Squeezebox Boom connected through Ethernet - this can play with no problem all bitrates 1 Squeezebox 2 connected through Ethernet and hooked up to the AV Receiver - this is the only one capable of playing back correctly the untouched DTS/AC3 files in FLAC container 1 Squeezelite on local machine, the server basically. This obviously doesn't have bitrates problems but it can't playback DTS/AC3 too. The multichannel files are in FLAC containers. So files currently with a .flac extension. The first thing I thought was renaming them all to a .fla extension. But .fla is included in the standard types.conf file. I tried removing it and adding it in custom-types.conf, with a mch (multichannel) definition for the rules in custom-convert.conf. The only thing I got out of this was that the one album I tested this on was not getting scanned by LMS. Maybe I did this the wrong way, I don't know. I'm generally finding hard to create rules in custom-convert.conf that actually override the ones in convert.conf. As I said, I'll report back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gorman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105300 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
