The precept was shocked that she gave in so easily. That wasn't like her.
He was tempted to check her temperature again, but didn't want to push his
luck. He didn't really want to relent about the driving. She was acting
strangely which meant she wasn't 100% and shouldn't be driving, not to
mention he had always felt same way about her driving as he did about
Nick's, well maybe not quite as bad, but still. "It better stay 'nice'," he
told her, in tone that said he was relenting, but against his better
judgement. He happened to like his SUV, the way it was, undented and in one
piece.
