"No," Derek objected immediately. "I'll take you, I'd like to meet these
hackers myself." And put the fear of God in them if he got the opportunity.
He gave Lani an impressed smile. "I suppose the to of you should be able to
keep these things under control.

Julia blinked and drank from the mug. Okay, usually-and she knew it to be
true, she would have told Derek 'tough' and gone anyway... but after
worrying him last night and feeling like she owed him a freebie 'no arguing'
chance, she figured this was the one freebie chance and sighed mock
expressively.
"Okay, you'll take me. But I get to drive to the mall at least." Then she
grinned and took a bite of a pickle she had snatched from the fridge "You've
got a nice lookin' Ranger there. I just want a little spin in it."
"Just a little." she repeated as she put finger and thumb together to make a
tiny bit of distance. Then she put down the pickle and coffee mug and
opened up another program, accessing her funds and starting the 'paper work'
on getting her own money available to her.
Patrick entered Rachel's room and saw both Kat and Rachel sound asleep on
her bed. With a soft look he sat in the chair nearby and watched them.
