Derek:
Derek nodded as got out of the car and headed for the rear to help unload.
He took out a large box aand started towards the house, only to find himself
almost tripping over Kat as he entered.
Kat:
"I'm sorry," the little girl said backing up. As much as she loved Derek
she couldn't always tell when he was in a bad mood or not. He didn't it the
way people like say Nick did. To end up under his feet on a day when he was
particularly grouchy wasn't always the nicest thing, even though he rarely
shouted at her, sometimes his silence was far worse.
"That's all right," he told her. "Would you mind finding Jonathan and
telling him we will be having 4 additional people for lunch and to please
set a table for two in the garden, the rest will be in the library?"
"Um....okay," Kat said a little confused by all this. However she ran off
to tell Jonathan, though there looked like a whole lot more than 4 people
there to her. Jonathan already knew about Milo and Julia though. Kat
recognized Milo, but was sort of happy to be able to avoid him anyway.
