Alex gave Derek a 'who me?' kind of look and knew she failed miserably but she didn't egg Julia on any more.  Neither she nor Derek really needed it with the way this guy was acting.   Had money? Good lord, she thought with a barely discernerable snort, if he wanted to go money on money with Derek the poor lush was going to find out just how influential money could be.  She never was one for using position to get things done but in this case she knew the cocky guy would was blowing in the wind.   She decided to spare herself the embarrissment of saying something by heading toward the door to wait for Frank's arrival, giving Milo a quick 'this guy has GOT to be kidding, right?' look before going.       * * * * <she had to run out real quick but asked me to post this for her> Nick agreed to what Derek said and hung up, steering his car toward the next address.
