Derek started to object, they had drivers that could that and he wasn't sure
it was such a good idea. However, he saw the look in Julia's eyes and heard
the tone in her voice. He wasn't sure what he'd done, but he was getting
the message that he'd done something.
"All right," he agreed after a thoughtful pause. "Julia, I'm sorry...for
putting you in this position."
He realized that she was the one who chose to take Megan home, but he
couldn't help but feel responsible.
"I'm not in a 'position'," Julia told him "At least not in regard to what's
going on with Megan."
She swallowed and closed her eyes before inhaling and opening them again to
look at him "Never mind. I'm just thankful you're back and I'm going to
try and help Megan. It's not your fault but maybe... maybe we shouldn't be
so secretive anymore. I don't know. People we consider family know, or
those that we've been able to tell do..."
