Derek chuckled and stood to go see what was going on.
"If that's the case I should make sure he doesn't destroy the house." He
entered the hall just as Julia was going to get her keys.
"What happened in here? Is everyone all right?"
"I'm going to drive Megan where she needs to go and no, everyone is not all
right." Julia answered since they were relatively parted from the rest of
the small gathering since she had been on her way back toward the kitchen.
She reached through the swinging door and got the keys to the SUV "Let
Philip know I'll be back in a little while and sorry I had to leave but it
can't be helped."
And she didn't mean Megan in that 'everyone' answer either but she wasn't
going to get into it now. She didn't know why but he had piqued her temper.
Not bad but damned if she wasn't irritated.
