"No, that's not all it is," Derek told her.  "Please try to understand.  I
have loved Julia for a very long time, since before I met you."  He didn't
know how to say this.  "It wasn't that I didn't care for you Megan, I did,
very deeply.  However, now that Julia has returned my feelings for you
are...different."

Megan looked at him, things starting to make sense now.  There was something
to that day.

"It was her, wasn't it?" She asked softly, thinking of that day and
remembering his expression and how he had seemed to come to a decision.  She
stood up and walked to the table where the tray still sat "I knew you were
thinking of someone, I just.. didn't know it was her."

She then turned back to look at Derek "She was gone so you moved on with me.
Now that she's back you want her.  Right?"
