Julia smiled at that and took another sip of the ginger ale before asking "And what was the first adventure you went on after the three months were up?"
Derek laughed, "boarding school." He took a bite of his soup. "But I did get to spend a portion of the Christmas Holidays in Egypt. Which was a complete surprise, because.....I....had come home with a letter dismissing me permanently from that institution. I was rather suprised my father hadn't lost his temper and changed his mind about that trip."
