Bruce,

Thanks for the pointer. I didn't realize there were the various
techniques. Probably back when I first started doing this, there was
just the taskbar position technique. (I am a long-time user, I still
have my paid registration number from 1999!).

Anyway, I created a bar called TaskbarBar. But it doesn't show up in
the list of taskbars when I right click on the task bar and select the
toolbars menu. I have rebooted. I have tried it both with and without
"auto show as bar" checked. Nothing shows up. Any suggestions?

On a possibly related note, each time I log in, I have to click on the
blocked startup programs icon in the tray and run ppro. Then click
allow in the UAC dialog. Is there any way to set this permanently OK?
I already have "run as administrator" checked in the startup shortcut
properties dialog (without that I wouldn't even get to the UAC dialog,
I think).

I did search the forum on this issue, and there are several people
saying that ppro works ok if run as administrator, but it's not clear
if they have to deal with the blocked startup program and UAC dialogs
each time the log in.

I'm running ppro 4.9 rc1, vista 64 home premium.

Thanks,

Chris
