I meant that you do not want PowerPro itself writing to program files
folder once it is installed, which it would normally do if config
files are there.

But I don't think that will help with taskbar stuff. I assume you
were running as admin when you installed the taskbar support. Since
the button changed titles, it means that the registry was updated (or
at least PowerPro thinks it was).

You may want to check that these keys exist in registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B215D746-32BD-4A13-AB81-93A03C3E0073}\Implemented
Categories\{00021492-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B215D746-32BD-4a13-AB81-93A03C3E0073}\InProcServer32

Its disappointing; I guess something changed there with Vista.
