I've decided on the 1400, but how much would a CD-RW drive that is compatable with the 1400 cost?
Hi What you need to do is find a good 1400 that has a 12x or 8 x cdrom and then swap the internal unit in the drive caddy the interface type is what you need to look at? just out of interest i took the internal drive from a firelite external cdrw drive that came with a G4 powerbook first revision. and that had the just swap over interface Luckily. also you will need a copy of toast that runs well on the 1400 (toast 5 le works fine under os 8.6 or 9.) I think i have a cd with 5 le on somewhere i will have a look.
Also, can you make copies of PC CDs with a Mac?
With toast you can there is an option for it under the toast options. vicki -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
