It might be easier if you said how much you are  willing/can afford to spend..

Then match $$ with  features.

I have a 1400cs, 133 and a meager 16 MB ram..  No  lie the screen is adequate 
and overall it's pretty quick.

The real  beauty is it's crisp full-sized keyboard.  I can and have typed for 
hours  at a time on MSs since I bought it.
