Solution - I took the 240 to a friend who tried to figure out why I had the problem while he had none on his 240 using my 33.6 Suprexpress modem. He exchanged his 4.3 GB Seagate drive (OS 9.0.4) and was able to surf on my machine. My original issue 2 GB Western Digital (8.1 ) went to his 240 and he was baffled. Could this have anything to do with aging drives or misreading (during OS installation) CD-Rom?
