So I can have all my messages trashed for free? :) Seriously, though, I get the idea we on this list are squeaky wheels or something. And because there are some issues being talked about doesn't mean everyone is experiencing them. (There is a percentage in customer service that reflects how many people are complaining aloud to how many may be having an issue but not calling or writing and then compared to the percentage of people not having the issue at all. I forget what it was...) I haven't had the problems recently being talked about. Maybe I will when I move to an Intel Mac, maybe not. I'm thinking not because these similar issues were spoken of before, and I haven't lost messages or had to purchase and buy that recovery tool yet. Maybe I will some day; so far judicious use of my mail program and my back ups seem to do fine. (Not that I've had to use backups yet; the few times I have had issues the database rebuild functions worked.) This is obviously my experience, but many also have had the same. And I've had clients lose messages with all sorts of email clients, not just database-driven ones. You aren't getting rid of any problems like that by switching to another program; you're just trading current foibles for other foibles. It all comes down to the foibles you want to deal with as well as the features you need in a mail client. PowerMail works fine for me, I like the look and feel, and I appreciate the incremental improvements it gets. I'm under no illusion switching will keep me from possibly losing stuff. I hope you all get whatever it is worked out, if only so I don't have to deal with it when I move to an Intel Mac some day probably next year. I wish I could help with the instability issues and lost messages, but it's just not happening here; without being ale to duplicate it, I can't compare and figure out what I may be doing differently to not have the issues. :( -- Michael Lewis Off Balance Productions [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.offbalance.com
