Browns Ferry is the same as SQN except we have the PM-7 Monitors in addition to
the GEM-5. We performed a sensitive study on both monitors

Glad to see Powernet back.

Linda,
At TVA- Sequoyah we perform entrance passive monitoring using a log. Our GEM-5s
are able to see approximately 0.55% of an ALI using our radionuclide mix, based
on the sensitivity study we have performed. Individuals who enter an RCA pass
through 2 GEM-5s before leaving our site, at the RCA exit, and at the PA exit.
We take credit for passive monitoring, and only perform whole body count if an
individual alarms a GEM-5, or has known intake incident.

Hi All,

I don't see a recent benchmark on this subject.

Does your site perform exit whole body counting?
If no, do you have any special documentation for passive monitoring or just
take credit for the normal RCA egress process?

For Diablo Canyon we currently do perform exit whole body counting.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving,

Linda
