Kita tak usah perdebatkan perbedaan, namun bahas persamaannya. Iman an sich selalu baik, untuk diimani, namun memang repot kalau dibandingkan. saya sendiri juga lebih mudah mengerti isi Al Kitab, bila saya pahami kisah2 itu adalah metafora. Cari intinya yang mau dikisahkan, jangan mencari arti harfiah. Bisa pusing.
Tiap agama memberikan gambaran mengenai keadaan surgawi. Buddha, Yahudi, Kristen dan Islam. Ber-beda2 sesuai dengan sikon sosio budaya masa itu. Tetapi yang utama, essensinya, bahwa keadaan surgawi adalah keadaan yang sempurna. Ini dipercaya disetiap agama. Ini yang penting.Misalnya tiada derita, tiada kebencian, tiada kekurangan. Gautama mengajarkan Pari Nirvana, keadaan yang total sempurna, penuh keseimbangan. Artinya, tak ada kesumbangan. Ini juga yang diajarkan dalam agama2 lain, dengan penggambaran yang berbeda. Gontok2an di tanah Air, sebenarnya bukan masalah perbedaan akidah, karena bangsa kita dari dahulu selalu cinta damai. saya alami ditahun 50an dan 60an, kita hidup sebagai keluarga besar, yang satu Jumatan, yang lain kegereja hari Minggu,dll. No problem. Paman saya Buddha, saya tak pernah tanya beliau, kok paman jadi Buddha, apa sihh itu? Tak pernah. Saya hormati keputusan beliau. Titik. Eyang puteri saya adalah wanita Muslim yang saleh, saya hormati beliau dalam ibadah dan pengimanan beliau (eyang laki2 tak pernah saya kenal, sudah meninggal sebelum saya lahir). Namun di-akhir2 ini, persengketaan dijadikan wahana politik. Agenda2 tersembunyi membuat persengkatan muncul, tanpa kita faham, mengapa. Di-tahun2 50an dan 60an, tak banyak yang saling mempertanyakan akidah orang lain, seperti yang kita lakukan sejak tahun 70an. jadi, mas, perserngketaan ini, bukan diakibatkan oleh perbedaan akidah an sich, namun ada "tangan2 jail" yang mengemudikannya.
