Hi Red If you are seriously considering the Nikon D100 then you should also look at the Fuji S2 (Nikon lenses)and possibly the shortly to be available Sigma (only takes Sigma mount lenses)with the Fovon chip that claims the equivalent of about 10 megpixel. I am told the Sigma will have a cheap and nasty plastic feel (body only I am told will be about �1300inc VAT!)BUT if it is as good as their recent EX range lenses. . .The Fuij S2 I have in my hands now, after the Fuji S1 it is excellent, direct comparison test using the same lens side by side with the D100 show much more sharpness, it is a genuine 6mpixel but can output with extra software a 16bit file 4256 x 2848 pixels I am waiting for the CD to arrive.
