Is the interpolation better than the one offered by Photoshop? Have you done
some comparison tests? Also, maybe using Fred Miranda's stair stepping
action to do some comparisons with Photoshop's bicubic?

After my recent posting and the help from list members (and I nosing around
DPreview.com), I came to the conclusion the Canon range was better as it has
a CMOS sensor. The S2 offers 3024 x 2016 whereas the D60 offers 3072 x 2048.
That's the one I am thinking of purchasing in the new year. Does the list
has opinions on CMOS v CCD?

On the features front, the two seem to balance out except the S2 has a
firewire connection and the D60 doesn't and that could be an advantage. Is
not having a firewire connection a hindrance in the real world? On the
downside, the S2 is slightly more.

I found being able to compare cameras on DPreview very handy.
