I've been asked to supply a dig. file from a 6x6cm col neg. to produce a
print up to 5ft square. I've got a Nikon 8000

Dear Simon,

Well just checked what you get in pixel count in p-shop. It gives you a
220mb file. Way more than you need really and its likely the reprohouse
will grown, when opening. However when resized to 5ft it drops down to
150dpi. So at the size and viewing distance you can be sure it will be
really good.

As you know the exact print size, you scan and do all adjustments then
use the view pirnt size in the zoom function then apply as much usm as
you think you need obviously divide by four or five and apply that
amount of times then they should be well happy. That's unless whoever is
printing will know how to do good usm.

You could interpolate up but with a 229mb file whats the point ???.

Cheers

Ian Reynolds
