5ft print from 66, Nikon 8000

If you have to supply the file on CD, it might be convenient to keep it
below 600kb or whatever you can get on a CD - or you could use backup to
split the file over 2 CDs, or Zip or...

I have always printed pixel to pixel 6,000 x 9,000 pixels on an HP A3
printer from 4,000 ppi scans of 66 on a Polaroid SprintScan 120, (which
can produce 8,000 ppi files).

(I got my Epson 2100 today... hope to get it up and running some week
soon.)

You need to find out the preferred PPI options of the printer to be used
- they will tell you they can zoom it to any size, but they would loose
a great deal of detail by doing so.

I would try interpolating up the file to 1,8000 pixels square for
printing at 300 ppi, but if the output will be to an Epson (e.g. the 44
inch 9600, which that nice man at Newbury has) they would get a better
result printing at 720 ppi.
