Maybe it's just me, but I have a few observations: 1) If the D1X does what you want, then who cares what comes out next week, knowing that something will always be coming out next week in this market. 2) Any speculation on what Nikon will do at PMA is just that, speculation. For what it is worth, I have "heard" that Nikon will be releasing 3 new Coolpix cameras, but nothing new in the D-series. The new D-series will come out in conjunction with the F6. But who the hell knows. 3) Anything you buy today in the digital market is going to devalue rapidly given the market acceleration. Depending on what you're doing, see #1 above. Having said all that, please know that I am no expert in the digital field, given that I still shoot with film for a variety of reasons, but do all my editing and printing digitally in-studio. A lot of my colleagues criticize me for still shooting with film, but I'm the one who has to question their rationale for upgrading to the latest digital cam every year, when last year they said the current one is awesome! If it was so awesome, the new one must be what, super-awesome??!! :) Cheers, Derek Cooper www.derekcooper.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
