I am using a D1x for the first time and am having trouble getting a satisfactory image. I am trying to photograph some art work and want to get the whites sorted out so that I can shoot all the pictures under the same condition. I am using the raw file format and have done a white balance preset according to manual. All exposure, lighting etc spot on. Problem is when opened in Ps the image looks about 1 stop underexposed (but when shot at 1/2 under important detail is lost).
I want to be able to reproduce whites acurately without making adjustments in PS.
If there is a D1X user around who has encountered this problem I would be both interested to hear from them not to mention glad to be put out of my misery.
