Try to look at test prints of your own images before you decide. I use an 1160 (with Lyson's Fotonic ink and a Pixl profile). Colour accuracy and gamut are good, but if you have good eyesight you may find the 1160's output a bit grainy. It irritates me, but no one else notices. The 1290 and Canon 9000 should give smoother highlights. Contact me off-list if you want me to print a JPEG for you.
