Whoever you got on the phone, must've been the janitor, because that is completely bogus. I downloaded it with Safari, and OS X 10.2.4, and installed it after only 2 false starts, thanks to Adobes "new", longer, even MORE confusing download system. The problem, is their system, not your tools.
