Being misquoted, though is something I really hate, and unfortunately easily happens, in life and more so on lists. You seem a little confused over the LaCie drives. You are mistaking their size in Gb's with their interface. LaCie make various "big disks", the two largest being 400Gb & 500Gb. However they also make each of these disks with either a Firewire 400 interface (400Mb/s) or an Firewire 800 (800Mb/s) & USB2 interface.
