Stefanie: Version 7.6.51 of VueScan is available. If read the data on Ed's website correctly, it does not seem as though VueScan yet supports the Minolta 5400.

It would seem to me that ICE would be covered under the tab Filter > Infrared clean. However, I believe, as in the wet darkroom, you should remove all dust before exposing. Repair and further dust correction is better done with PS healing brush for example. I am aware that any colour correction or > USM should be left alone and can be better done in PS but please what > where? I find that color correction in VueScan is very powerful, particularly the automatic right mouse button feature. Here you right click on a grey (or white) area and get automatic balance. Auto Levels is useful at times and Ed has now added Portrait and Landscape (which I have not tried). I find that VueScan is much more powerful than the TWAIN interface in PS. > Many thanks Stefanie- the proud owner of the new Minolta 5400 for 529.. > ARPS, BIPP I use a CanoScan FS 4000 and have been getting superb results with VueScan with slides, color negative and B&W. I purchased and IT8 slide target and profiled my scanner with the VueScan feature.
