The combination of the profile and the RIP can make a lot of difference to the output. So, while one 7600 may perform at its optimum at 360, another may do likewise at 400. Be interesting to read the results of your test. Do post info about the profile and the RIP too, though, and not just the optimum ppi.

It may be worth saying that what is an appropriate resolution for an Epson printer may not be the case with other makes. I know that the printer in question is an Epson, but others with say HP or Canon printers may think the same figures would apply to them too.
