Would a surge protected socket sort this out? (probably being dim but
though it was worth asking)
My UPS record graphs of input an output voltage, but (unless it
records peak
value rather than averages or samples) it would not accurately record
surges.
If the generator over-voltage surge occurred before the flashes were
fully
charged, they might absorb the surge OK.
