Hi John,

If your iBook don't start as it is to full (it could append because OS X use to need an amount of scratch memory on the HD ranging from 1 GB to 4 GB).

Try to connect to an other Mac wit a firewire connection. Then start your comp in the T (stand for target) mode (start holding down the T key) your iBook will mount on the Mac as a FW HD. Then try DiskWarrior from the save Mac. Free some space on your HD.

If your system is damaged: set an ethernet connection on a save Mac connect your iBook and start it holding down the N key, the system will be restored automatically.

Also it might be need a reset of the mother board two way of process this, try the software one before the HW.

Start holding down alt+command+O+F (OF stands for Open Firmware).
When the prompt is there type:

reset-NVRAM
set-defaults
reset-all

If your screen is calibrated, don't miss to calibrate again because the LUT on the video ram will be set to defaults.

If it don't work you should do it manually.
On my PB 1 Ghz behind the keyboard in the upper right side there is a hole looking like a bean (seeing from profile, I let you guess witch one it is). Inside there is a little reset button. You must press it 5 second ONLY ONCE, otherwise you will destroy the motherboard. Then try to restart. Before doing this you must disconnect everything and remove the battery.

If you don't find the button, ask to a techky.

Hope this help.
