Apologises to those who get upset with Applemac questions, but, I'm in a bit of a panic to say the least. I use my ibook to scan and have a large job to get out for Monday and it ain't working. I was using it last night, it froze so I shut it down and tried to re-start it. Nothing. All I got was a pale blue screen. Tried Norton, it kept failing, tried the restore disk, wouldn't start up, so I tried Diskwarrior. It did the test and told me that it could rebuild the directory but there wwasn't enough "contigous" space to do it and that it I could end up losing the entire contents of the hard drive. Is my only option now to send it away to have it linked upto a second main machine and have stuff binned from my ibook ?
