Tried this but all I get is the flashing question mark icon, even though I
sat there for about 10mins holding apple and s. I've ran the hardware test
cd and everything is ok. Could it simply be that my ibook is so full it
can't start up ?
Possible but unlikely I would have thought. I'm afraid it might be properly sick.
You could try zapping the Pram by starting up with the apple+option+P+R keys down. Keep the keys held down until you hear the chime three times, then let it boot up as usual.
Out of ideas after that I'm afraid...
