Hi Patrick

>From what I've been told the cause is light reflected off the chip (the chip
having a more shiny surface than film), if the rear element of the lens is
further from the chip (like the macro) then the problem is more likely to
appear. There must be some exact science to this but I'm not up on this on
enough to give any type of formula.
