Shangara, I've never seen this as a symptom of head failure, so do not panic.  Sounds 
like a shop trying to get you to buy another printer to me (wouldn't be the first time 
I've seen that happen either)

As I didn't have this problem before fitting the CIS, I am hoping it was
caused by the ink tray being set too high for the head's liking. I have
raised the printer and am hoping that has solved the problem.
