For most companies the question that gets asked is..
'If (when) I fall out with my IT company or they go to the wall who will
support my system?'
If the system is in VFP then there are very few (in the UK anyway)
options and most of these are small outfits. The availability of .NET
software houses means that while you may have to investigate the options
you will find someone that meets your needs.
As time goes on the difficulty of interop with .NET is also going to
make software houses move from VFP and then of course they will be
flagging their new system as better which will re-enforce the belief.
Right, off back to converting my vfp DataObject to C#.
