Hook one of the problem WAP directly to your computer using an ethernet
cable. Get the manual for the WAP and determine WAP default IP
address. Reset WAP to defaults.
Change your computer's ip address and subnet mask, so your computer and
the wap are on the same network. In Linux I can do this as follows:
Get computers current network settings:
ifconfig
Change computer's network settings:
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.102 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.1.255
Now access you wap web interface, which usually includes a browser based
app:
http: default-ip-address-of-wap
When the wap admin menu appears, login and change the wap's network
settings, including wireless info needed for clients to connect. Unplug
your wap and connect it back into your router. Reboot your computer
into its normal network settings. Plug your wap back into your router.
If necessary unplug the wap again for a short time and plug it in again
until it show up in your router. Ping your wap. If that works, access
your wap by entering its ip addess into your browser.
After you get one wap working, then proceed to the next to getting the
other wap working.
