OK, I'll admit it --- it was a stupid problem. A cable clip somehow
crapped out on me. I cut it off, popped on a new clip and... on it
went.

I still can't connect to my WAPs with a browser --- still a mystery
--- but I'm going to procrastinate dealing with that until the next
crisis. <g>

Thanks to all for your ideas, support, and virtual
slaps-upside-the-head. You folks are the best. Really.
