I had a problem of overheating as well on an Acer. I mistakenly though the Acer would have auto shutdown when you close the lid like the dell did but it didn't and I packed it in the case. Lucky for me was only a quick journey. But one extra point to dell for having auto shutdown. And minus several million points to dell for making the 250 silver craptop that overheated when you looked at it. P4 full proc in a laptop not a good idea. Al
